People at General Assembly

John McClure signs one of his books
for Dee Wade during an autograph session in the bookstore at the
Assembly. McClure is professor of preaching and worship at Louisville
Seminary and Dee Wade is his pastor at Anchorage Presbyterian Church
in Louisville. Dee Wade is also a regular columnist for the VOICE.

Mother and son commissioners had
a chance for a family visit during the Assembly. Mary Freeman, at
right, an elder commissioner from St. Andrew Presbytery, served
on the Assembly’s General Assembly Procedures Committee. James Freeman,
minister commissioner from Arkansas Presbytery, was Vice Moderator
of the Assembly Committee on General Assembly Meetings.

Kathy Lancaster of Louisville,
recently retired editor of Church and Society Magazine,
received the Andrew Murray award from the Witherspoon Society
and was keynote speaker at the Witherspoon Society dinner during
the Assembly.

Joe Small, at right, Director of
the Office of Theology & Worship, signed one of his books, Fire
& Wind for Bob Millard, director of development at King College
in Bristol, Tennessee.
