PEER Distributes Video NationwidePEER (Presbyterian Endowment Education and Resource Network) has produced and distributed a video to every church within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The video encourages churches to consider the importance of establishing permanent funds ministries and offers a list of helpful resources that are available to help them get started. These resources will provide free consultations and support materials to help churches establish permanent funds ministries. If investment services are needed, they can assist in this area as well. An individual donor gave the funds to make and distribute this video. The eleven-minute video features three ministries that were started by individual Presbyterian churches as well as suggestions of other uses of permanent funds. Each of them depends on donations from churches as well as income from their own permanent funds to serve and not just survive. Many individual churches are able to support these ministries with income from their own permanent funds ministry programs. The video also explains how churches can use income from permanent funds for planned maintenance or to expand local/ worldwide mission outreach. PEER hopes to convey that planned giving ministries are relatively easy to establish. By actively working to promote these efforts and, using a conservative spending policy, churches can supplement their budgets and enjoy greater financial security. PEER is a nonprofit organization comprised of church leaders from throughout the denomination who have experienced the benefits of permanent funds ministries and are eager to share their expertise with congregations everywhere.
