PEOPLE AT GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Mississippi Delegation
Some members of the Mississippi Presbytery delegation at General Assembly

Eric Mount
Minister commissioner Eric Mount from Transylvania Presbytery,
seen on the TV screen at the Assembly, was one of 16 commissioners
who signed a minority report relating to a document called
“Living Faithfully with Families in Transition”, developed by the
Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy in response to directives
from General Assemblies in 1997 and 1998. Commissioners
this year voted to return the paper to the ACSWP for further study.

Ken Hall and Pierce Buford
Former General Assembly Moderator Ken Hall and Pierce Buford were among
committee members at the Assembly to promote the work of the Presbyterian
Committee on Northern Ireland.

Gary Luhr and Anne McKee
Gary Luhr, executive director of the Association of Presbyterian
Colleges and Universities, at left, and Anne McKee, Maryville
College chaplain, were among those who enjoyed the good
food and the power point presentation at the Maryville College
breakfast during the meeting of the 215th General Assembly.

Impromptu meeting
When four presbytery executives find an empty table, they will find an excuse to
