Plans for
Hispanic Ministry
in Synod Initiated
Representatives
from three of the presbyteries in the Synod of Living Waters met in Nashville
May 14-15 to explore possibilities for cooperation and networking in Hispanic
ministry efforts. They made plans for a Spanish language page in Presbyterian
VOICE. They met on Saturday at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, headquarters
for Hispanic ministry in Middle Tennessee Presbytery and heard about Nations
Ministry Center, an outreach program to Nashville’s immigrants and
refugees. They heard about Hispanic ministry plans in Sheppards and Lapsley
and North Alabama Presbyteries and decided to invite all the presbyteries
to participate in a Synod-wide partnership in ministry to immigrants from
Mexico and Central and Latin America.
