This conference is a time of conversation in which moderators of
former general assemblies of the PC (USA) and presidents of our
Presbyterian seminaries are being asked to provide panel discussions
addressing the future of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Leaders
across the denomination are invited to participate in this dialogue with
our church‚s seasoned leaders.

We believe this consultation will provide hope, inspiration, insights,
and energy to help our pastors lead our churches through turbulence
which may follow the 217th General Assembly in Birmingham, AL,
June 2006.

The Hope of the Church: Celebrating Common Ground, the title
chosen for this conference, reflects our intent for this event to be a
conversation out of which people are encouraged and inspired to
discover and celebrate those areas of common ground for ministry in
the 21st century.
