Tusculum College faculty, staff, and administrators
visited a dozen churches as part of the April 22 observance of College
Day in the Presbytery of East Tennessee.
Although College Day was officially April 22, two
of the churches who agreed to host Tusculum representatives chose alternate
dates.
Tusculum representatives speaking in various churches
on April 22 included: Suzanne Hine, vice president and dean of the Graduate
and Professional Studies program, who spoke at Brown Hill Presbyterian
Church in Tellico; Jerry Ward, distinguished service professor of education,
spoke in the 9 a.m. service at Caledonia Presbyterian Church in Knoxville,
then at the 11 a.m. service at Spring Place Presbyterian Church in Knoxville;
Jason O'Dell, director of residence life at Tusculum, spoke at Eusebia
Presbyterian Church in Seymour; Tony Narkawicz, director of institutional
research, spoke at Fairmont Presbyterian Church in Knoxville; Frank
Wheeler, vice president of institutional advancement, spoke at First
Presbyterian Church in Sevierville; Craig Layman, admissions counselor
for the Professional Studies program, spoke at Fourth Presbyterian Church
in Knoxville; Joyce Doughty, community service coordinator for Tusculum's
Service-Learning Center, spoke at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church in
Greenback; Renee Porier, director of enrollment management for the Professional
Studies program, spoke at Powell Presbyterian Church in Powell, and
Mark Stokes, vice president for administration and college relations,
spoke at Westminster Church in Knoxville.
