Margaret Walker Is Scottish Dance Champion

Margaret WalkerMargaret Walker, an active member of the youth group at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church in Franklin, TN, started Scottish Highland dancing and competing when she was five years old. Now a senior at Harpeth Hall School in Nashville, Margaret has won ten recent championships and currently is: The Carolinas Open Champion (Loch Norman Highland Games); The Southeast Regional Champion (Savannah Highland Games); and First Runner-Up in the National Championship (Skagit Valley, WA).

Margaret has competed in Scotland and was First Runner-up in the British Overseas Championship. She was named “Dancer of the Day” at the Gatlinburg, the Tennessee, the Stone Mountain and the Central Florida. She has won numerous other awards since she began dancing more than ten years ago. Her proud parents are Otey and Susan Walker, both elders at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church.
