Waters Recipients of 2006
Women of Faith Award

Elder Evelyn Bonner of First Presbyterian Church in West Point, MS and the Rev. Betty Meadows, General Presbyter of Mid- Kentucky Presbytery, have both been named to receive the 2006 Women of Faith Award. Chosen from a field of more than one hundred nominees, they are two of six women to receive the award. They will be honored at the June 18th Women of Faith Awards Breakfast during the 217th General Assembly in Birmingham, AL. The awards are given during each GA meeting from the Women’s Ministries Program Area in the National Ministries Division.

Evelyn Bonner has served as a volunteer leader at Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, AK, and at Mary Holmes College in West Point. Betty Meadows, as an associate executive of the Greater Atlanta Presbytery and now in Mid-Kentucky Presbytery, has inspired growth in evangelism, newchurch development and spiritual renewal for pastors, educators and church members. Each of these recipients of the award was surprised and pleased by the honor.
