Elder Ruth Ann Bace Dies

Ruth Ann Bace, 75, Organizer and Director of the Resource Center of the Presbytery, of Sheppards and Lapsley died May 17, 2006. Ruth Ann served as Director of the Resource Center for over 28 years and developed the Resource Center into a library that is envied by most of our presbyteries. She was an expert in her field and gladly served everyone who asked for her special skills and assistance. She was an active and respected member of APCE and MSARC.

She was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church for over 37 years. She served the church in a variety of capacities as a Sunday School teacher, an officer in the Presbyterian Women, clerk of session and several terms as elder.

A memorial service was held in Ruth Ann’s honor Sunday May 21 at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband Alois C. Bace, Sr. She delighted in her family and is survived by her son, Alois C. Bace, III, daughters Martha Ann Bace and Julie Bace Luppino, as well as, grandchildren David Bace and Kristen and Andrew Luppino, and great-grandson, Dylan Bace.
