Elder Barbara Woody Dies

Barbara Woody passed away on Friday, July 21, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. A valued member of Hillside Presbyterian Church in Decatur, GA , she served both the PCUS and the PC(USA) for many years. In 1988 she became an Associate Executive for the Synod of Living Waters in the area of congregational resourcing and development. After earning the Diploma in Pastoral Studies from Louisville Seminary in 2001, she served Trenton Presbyterian Church in Trenton, KY, as Lay Pastor until 2005. Survivors include her children, Michael C. Woody of Nashville, TN, and Heather McGill (David) of Marietta, GA; and two grandchildren, Connor McGill and Courtney McGill, both of Marietta, GA.
