22nd Annual Crankin held August 5

On August 5, the annual Miss Martha’s Ice Cream Crankin’‚ celebrated its 22nd year on the grounds of Nashville's First Presbyterian Church. The afternoon was a huge success. More than 3000 people were in attendance, not including the many crankers and volunteers that made it all possible!  Over 500 gallons of ice cream were on-hand to sample during the two-hour event.  Sarah Allen of Second Presbyterian took home best of show for her “Mango Madness” creation.  Sarah also won in 2002 with “Mocha Brownie Avalanche” and Purity added it to their product line - still popular in grocery stores today.

Best of all, the Crankin’ exceeded all previous years by raising more money for the Martha O’Bryan Center, which continues to support families and individuals living in poverty in our community. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Crankin’ and for your commitment to the work of the Martha O’Bryan Center.
