Robert E. (Bob) Wilson was installed as president
of the National Council of Presbyterian Men on April 28, 2001, at the
group’s annual meeting in Germantown, Tennessee. He will serve a two-year
term.
Bob has been involved in some type of men’s ministry
since he became a Presbyterian in 1963. He has served as an elder at
Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Alabama; president of
the local men’s group; as commissioner to the Synod of Living Waters
and North Alabama Presbytery.
He recently completed three terms as secretary/treasurer
of the North Alabama Presbytery Men’s Council and was recognized as
their first “Churchman of the Year” with an award in January 2001.
Bob is married to Dr. Patricia Wilson, professor
at Alabama A&M University. They make their home in Madison, Alabama.
They have two sons and four grandchildren.
Bob’s motto is: “I can do all things through Christ
that strengthens me.” As president, Bob knows he will have many challenges
and opportunities when he will need the power of Christ to strengthen
him.
