Come to the Waffle ShopThe historic Downtown Presbyterian Church in Nashville will be making those heavenly waffles again on Thursday, December 6th, 2001. Tickets to the 75th annual Waffle Shop, a waffle brunch, bake and craft sale, are $7.50 each, and are available by calling the church office at 615-254-7584, or at the door on December 6. Hours are 11:00am to 2:00pm. The church is located at the corner of Fifth Ave. N. and Church Street in downtown Nashville. Free guided tours of the sanctuary will be given every half hour -- a perfect opportunity to see this National Historic Landmark and the restoration work completed this year in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the building. Proceeds from the Waffle Shop benefit the continued restoration of one of Nashville's architectural gems, probably the best example of Egyptian Revival architecture in America, as well as various local outreach programs. Come have lunch and welcome the Advent season.
